I used texture in the beard of the dragon to enhance my work since the scales make the piece look more like the actual lizard. I used highlights in the mouth to give it more depth alongside shadows. I used highlights in face to enhance my art piece and give it contrast.
This whole project was insanely difficult, and I wanted to give up right away. The hardest part by far was the mouth since there were so many different kinds of textures and colors in the mouth that did not have any clear lines. It was very difficult to get the right colors of the mouth due to how different all the colors were and lack of a large of colors that were similar to it. I also had difficulty with the scales until I was shown how to overlay the darks and lights in the scales.
